Currently, we have four classes at Staplecross Methodist Primary School. Our classes are always mixed age classes as our Admission number is 15 pupils per year. Every academic year, we look at the make-up of each cohort and decide on the best possible combination of age group and number.

We value the possibilities that mixed age classes bring as it provides a wide range of differentiation in every subject. It also provides greater opportunities for children to build friendship skills as their class members change each year. Younger children follow the example of older children; older children enjoy the responsibility of being a role-model.
